    CONGRATS to the 5000th Orbit

    At April 1st at 01:05 AM UTC COMPASS 1 has reached its 5000th orbit.
    That is more than 220.1 million kilometres!
    Light needs for that distance more than 12 minutes and 13.6 seconds
    which is more that the distance between earth and sun.

    And by the way the health of the satellite is well :-)
    Compass 1 has been launched almost 1 year ago and we have less than a month
    for the 1st anniversary.
    The whole team of COMPASS 1 would like to say thank you again for the great
    worldwide support which was unbelievable.
